Antelope Audio Eclipse 384 ADDA Converter

The Antelope Audio Eclipse 384 is Antelope’s 384kHz AD/DA converter controlled by Antelopes state of the art 64-bit DSP clock. Its unprecedented sound quality provides engineers with the best in analogue to digital conversion whilst maintaining simplistic functionality.


The Antelope Audio Eclipse 384 features two independent 64-bit DPS clocks based around Antelope’s Trinity series, a fully integrated monitoring controller that uses 0.05dB accurate gold-plated relay attenuators, bass management speaker switching and cue mix functions with an integrated talkback. In addition it comes with dual headphone amplifiers and and a custom built USB interface. The advance software, which are compatible with both Mac and PC, gives you the ability to recall settings, that help for a productive workflow.


The Eclipse 384 is a great tool for the studio or live environments. The ability to feed up to four devices with sync references whilst being capable of having D/A converters for backing material, multiple digital outputs in the A/D to feed the recording systems and a DAC function to monitor the post A/D conversion. All these features give a key indication on how master clocks have become popular within digital consoles and recording applications.


The dual-domain clocking system provides a more natural sounding sample rate conversion, with patching/routing capabilities that help compensate for jitter, distortion and noise from digital or analogue sources, making monitoring very simple. The noise floor can be reduced by a substantial amount whilst improving sound quality by removing of multiple input and output stages along with various power supplies present in separate devices.
