The ATC SCS70 Pro Sub is a free-standing, high-performance active subwoofer with a new sub-bass driver and 12” woofer for optimum reproduction of the lowest four octaves.
The ATC SCS70 Pro Sub uses a unique driver with a highly powerful neodymium magnet and a 30mm magnetic cap with a short coil greatly reducing non-linearities and delivering high linear excursion for an accurate and dynamic low-frequency response.
The SCS70 generates its extended low frequencies without the help of equalisation, opting instead for a combination of superb transducer engineering and larger cabinet volume. The result is a reduction in phase shift and group delays for better integration with studio monitors with a balanced and coherent sound.
The woofer is powered by a 300 Watts Class AB amplifier handbuilt in their UK facility and precisely tuned to provide fast, dynamic bass with virtually no colouration.
With two balanced inputs, the SCS70 can be used for stereo or multi-channel/immersive audio systems, while two balanced outputs can be used to connect to monitor loudspeakers or to daisy-chain multiple subs.
The analogue low-pass filters use 4th order Linkwitz-Riley and include a choice of frequencies for superior integration. It also includes an industry-standard 80Hz low-pass filter and an Off option for use with external processors. A polarity switch combined with a variable 180° phase adjustment allows additional optimisation of the subwoofer crossover. A stepped attenuator also provides a 21dB range for precise level matching.
The SCS70 is the ideal companion for a wide range of ATC monitor loudspeakers from the SCM12 pro to the SCM50A Pro.
The buffered inputs and outputs and the linkable mute make it easy to integrate the SCS70 in a surround or immersive audio format such as Dolby Atmos.
Please note, we are not able to ship ATC speakers outside of the UK
