Designed in collaboration with digital/analogue engineer Dave Hill of Crane Song, the HEAT software option for Pro Tools HD systems is an innovation for mixers who value the warmth and sound qualities of Valves, Tape Machines and Analogue Consoles - but who want to eliminate the complications and managing plug-in changes across multiple tracks.
Customers can now directly add the best sounding euphonic qualities to every track in the Pro Tools mixer using a single, global control which dramatically enhances the sound quality.
It can be used with HDX or HD Native systems, or any system running the HD Software from version 12.1
Global control of either Tape Warmth or Valve Harmonics is supplemented with a sonic sculpting EQ that reacts according to how hard, or how much you drive the processing.
Allowing for Pre or Post fade on a channel by channel basis, this allows the user to decide where to add the saturation and harmonics.
All settings and recall are saved within the Pro Tools session.
