Bricasti are a relatively new player in terms of studio effects manufacturing. However, their pedigree and heritage should not be overlooked. In 2003/4, the corporate powerhouse that is Harman, restructured one of the many audio businesses it owned - Lexicon. Anyone familiar with the names that grace pretty much every professional recording studio will recognise Lexicon as being in this esteemed group. Brian Zolner and Casey Dowdell were long-time employees of Lexicon who decided to jump ship and focus on the process that had made Lexicon such a ubiquitous name in studio land, namely - reverb. Indeed, the name Bricasti is a blend of the two founders first names....with a little artistic licence.
Launching the Model 7, or M7 as it is widely known, they hit critical and commercial success immediately. KMR has owned an M7 since it was first released, and we believe it is the finest dedicated reverb processor on the market today.
As with all the best high-end gear manufacturers, their range is small and focussed. In addition to the standard M7, there is an M7M which offers the power without the control, for those building up a multi-unit system. When combined with the brilliant Bricasti M10 remote, this powerful reverb system becomes an engineer's dream.
Recently, they have released a dedicated digital to analogue convertor, the M1. This thing needs to be heard to be believed; a true audiophile high-fidelity experience.
Bricasti are up there with the very best, and if you are considering a dedicated hardware reverb unit, you really needn't look much further. Always available to try at KMR...
