Dave Hill is the man behind Crane Song, one of the most desired hybrid Digital and Analogue range of products currently available for use in Professional Audio. Based in Wisconsin, Dave started his career designing many of the classic Summit Audio products before setting up Crane Song and running his own studio, which is where many of his designs and experiments first find life.

Having created products originally for his own needs, and consequently his knowledge of digital coding, this has now allowed him to develop equipment with true analog sonics. These designs are all unique, and his digital elements are 'tweakable' in realtime - like traditional analog equipment, providing familiar hands-on control but with the modern specifications only digital can provide.

Crane Song products make the best combination of analog and digital design - whether it's using the Valve based 500-series Falcon or Tape setting on the HEDD192, creating warmth with his Spider 8 channel mic-preamp, or replicating familiar analog compressors with the Trakker - there is real musicality within all Crane Song gear due to Dave's passion for Harmonic Distortion. This is apparent in the famous Pheonix II Tape emulation Plug-in, and now in the Peacock Plug-in which emulates Vinyl recordings.

With the latest revision of the Quantum Converter with his new extremely low jitter clock being fitted to the Avocet II Monitor Controller, the HEDD Quantum, Egret Summing mixer and standalone in the Solaris 2-channel D/A, there's never been a better time to hear what Dave Hill hears.
