The Burl BAD4 is a four-channel analogue to digital converter module for use with the Burl B80 Mothership chassis.
Built around the acclaimed BX1 transformer, the Burl BAD4 gives four channels of the most analogue-sounding ADC you've ever heard. it was a prime objective for Burl, when designing the original rack-mount B2 Bomber DC, to give it the most musical and natural-sounding properties - expense was no object. Then it was just copied into the Burl BAD4 module.
From installing their own transformers and using capacitor-free Class A circuitry, Burl has obtained great frequency response and transient detail that delivers sound quality far beyond the ordinary. The flexible and modular B80 Mothership, can hold up to ten of the Burl BAD40 units, allowing you up to 40 channels per chassis.
Designed by sound engineers to deliver premium quality analogue sound right into the heart of the digital domain, the Burl BAD4 shows how good it can be.
Burl BAD4 Overview:
- 44.1k Hz to 192k Hz, 24 bit, 4 channel ADC
- Exact same circuit path as B2 Bomber ADC
- Proprietary, high definition, BURL Audio BX1transformer input
- All class A, discrete transistors signal path with zero feedback, zero caps
- 4 XLR connectivity
