Dove Audios' second modular release that combines four wavetable generators and pairs it with a unique scanning capability, delivering unusual and interesting tones.
The Dove Audio Waveplane Oscillator D110 is a 5U / MU / MOTM format digital oscillator and is the second oscillator from UK synthesis genius Paula Maddox.
Waveplane is a unique form of vector style synthesis, where 4 simultaneous waveforms are made available across 6 areas of the onboard display, the display has a playback position marker which can be moved around the display with control voltages, the position of the playback marker defines which waveform is audible at the output.
Each waveform position can be one of 32 waveforms, which can be morphed through using control voltages, the available waveforms provide your standard fair of analogue tones, but there are 28 unique timbral variations that give vocal format, metallic and other interesting results.
For those of you who enjoy deep evolving drones, brash interesting textures, flexibility and something fresh and interesting, the Waveplane Oscillator is exactly what you’re looking for.
With 8 CV inputs, you can form stunningly complex tones, feed stepped voltages into the XY positions to make interesting rhythmic patches or feed FM into the module or the FM input to create some audio rate madness.
Waveplane is another incredible addition to the 5U format.
The main features of the Dove Audio Waveplane Oscillator include:
