The DW Fearn VT-I/F is a two-channel valve direct box designed to provide high-quality performance with dynamic, full and deep sound not provided by other DIs.

The DW Fearn VT-I/F was originally designed in the 1990s and has been reissued due to popular demand. Designed with uncompromising specs, it boasts tonnes of headroom and delivers the perfect load as well as having an ultra-flat frequency response between 10Hz all the way to 20kHz and - 3dB points at 0.5Hz and 90kHz. Furthermore, its circuit is very similar to that of the uncompromising VT-1 and VT mic preamps.

Unlike most DI’s the VT-I/F works at microphone levels and is designed to work with an external preamp to bring it to line level. It works great on guitars, bass, synthesisers, drum machines and more and will not overload and has enough gain to use with very low-level instruments.

Designed for rigorous use in the studio or on stage, the VT-I/F is extremely robust, machined from solid quarter-inch thick aluminium plate, finished with a robust polyurethane aircraft finish.
