The Earthworks DM20 is a precision engineered cardioid condenser microphone specifically designed for close miking toms and snare drums.


The Earthworks DM20 features a near-perfect cardioid polar pattern, consistent across all frequencies, ensuring more gain before feedback and removing phasing issues. Furthermore, its lightning-fast transient response and sharp attack handling let you capture your snare and toms with incredible detail and clarity. WIth up to 150dB SPL handling, the DM20 can be used even for the loudest drummers with no overload. The DM20 delivers a truly detailed and natural sound capturing your snare and toms’ true character.


Built to endure stray stick hits, the DM can easily be mounted for close-miking applications. Its right-angle design allows for precise positioning while its rigid gooseneck will ensure the microphone remains in the desired position. The RM1 RimMount allows for direct mounting on the rim of the snare of tom, removing the need for mic stands.
