The Equitech Model Q is a no-compromise, world-leading 230V, 20A balanced power conditioner with 1500 Watt capacity providing balanced power isolation from line noise and other problems linked to dirty power.

The Equitech Model Q is the result of several years of research and experience in balanced AC power. Each component has been meticulously chosen for its superior quality and performance regardless of cost. It features the most efficient core material possible and the heaviest transformer of any power conditioner in its class.

The Model Q can easily drive powerful amplifiers and other high current pulse-type loads with a power factor remaining stable whatever the demand load. It also uses Mil-spec oxygen-free copper throughout to minimise random high-frequency current distortion and widen its range of noise attenuation. Even the switches and circuit breakers are over specced with a duty rate of ½ million operations.

The Model Q is built to the highest standards, using isolation transformers with an enormous mass and operate at extremely low impedance and very low magnetic flux density. It also boasts powerful magnetic shields allowing the unit to be placed near sensitive equipment such as tape machines or single-coil pickups with no interference.

On the outside, the Model Q’s elegance remains in its simplicity, thanks to its beautiful anodised aluminium front panel which houses input power and output standby switches. A LED Voltmeter on the front indicates the voltage at the input or output (selectable via a switch or bypassed completely). Blue LEDs are situated above the input power and output standby switches to indicate power status at both stages. The input LED also serves as a TVSS status light indicating active surge protection. If the surge protector ever stops working, the Model Q also includes grounded Faraday shields that serve as redundant surge protection ensuring continuous operation until the TVSS module is replaced.

The rear panel includes 12 AC power outlets including one GFCI outlet independent from the standby switch to provide continuous power for devices that require to maintain a memory or clocks. The remaining 10 outlets are divided into six outlets (white) designed for analogue equipment and four specially filtered outlets (grey) for digital devices. A circuit breaker is also provided, protecting the system from overload and potential short circuits fire hazards that can damage power cords and connected equipment.
