The Genelec S360 SAM is a two-way active studio monitor designed primarily for music and post-production with 10” woofer, Directivity Control Waveguide and Smart Active Monitor Technology.
The Genelec S360 SAM integrates perfectly any studio thanks to its compact size and Genelec’s SAM technology which allows speakers to optimise their level, timing and EQ curves to minimise any room response anomalies. Designed to provide a powerful solution for surround, the S360 can be used with a subwoofer to meet the requirements for Dolby film mixing. Using Genelec’s GLM software, the S360 can be used from stereo to highly complex immersive formats very easily.
The S360 boasts a low distortion 10” woofer which is powered by a 250-Watt Class D amp and providing a frequency response as low as 33Hz. The HF driver uses a 1” compression tweeter and is powered by a 100 Watt Class D amplifier. Its low diffraction enclosure is made with high-quality Finnish woodwork which provides a smooth frequency response and minimum cabinet edge diffraction. Combined with Genelec’s Directivity Control Waveguide, it provides S360 with an impressive wide sweet spot. Genelec’s ISS Intelligent Signal Sensing switches the speaker into a low-power sleep state to minimise electricity consumption and safeguarding when not in use.
The S360 offers a wide range of mounting options including rear support points for wall and floor stands as well as M10 thread for mounting on the cabinet base. It also includes Genelec’s Iso-Plate which provides a clever mounting stand, preventing air turbulence and surface decoupling.
