Grace Designs m108

The Grace Designs m108 is a transparent eight-channel mic preamp with class-leading analogue-to-digital conversion and local and remote controlled operation.

The Grace Designs m108 uses a transformer-less, trans-impedance mic preamp design that delivers superior clarity and depth. The integrated A/D conversion provides up to 192kHz digital operation over AES, ADAT and USB outputs. The analogue-to-digital converter uses s-Lock PLL for jitter-free sample clock from external word clock or Dante Clock. The asynchronous mode USB interface delivers the best possible jitter performance when connected to a computer.

Operation of the m108 is easy and intuitive thanks to its clever user interface and push-button rotary encoder. All preamp functions such as +48 Volt phantom power, polarity reversal, channel grouping and meter peak clear are accessible via dedicated push-buttons. The OLD screen offers a crisp view of the system information such as channel gain settings, peak status, metering and system setup menu.

The m108 can be configured as part of a larger system thanks to integrated serial and MIDI controls or the existing m802 hardware remote control unit, Pro Tools, or the m108 control app. An Ethernet connector also allows extensive control via any modern web browsers. An optional Dante interface can also provide network audio configurations. The protocol used in the m108 is backwards compatible with the m802 and as a result, the m108 can easily integrate into an existing m802 system
