The HEDD Type 20 is a 3-way active studio monitor designed to offer compact recording, mixing and mastering facilities, with high-quality full-range midfield monitoring.

The HEDD Type 20 houses a 7" bass and 4" midrange honeycomb woofers with HEDD's Air Motion Transformer tweeter, designed specifically for high-frequency reproduction. All three drivers are powered by 300W Class-D ICEpower amplifier modules.

Type 20 offers performance the belies its compact size, providing pristine, effortless and powerful sound with remarkable midrange clarity, dynamics and stereo imaging. With a Frequency response ranging from 32Hz all the way up to 50kHz, this studio monitor will shine even in the most complex and challenging audio situations.

The Type 20 is 100% analogue but can accept full Dante and Audio-over-IP thanks to its optional HEDD Bridge card system that easily inserts into the free slot found on the back panel of the speaker.

Now built-in to the speaker includes the HEDD Lineariser which flattens the phase response, creating perfect impulse response. This dramatically helps with spatial reproduction opening up the stereo image offered by your speakers.

Furthermore, HEDD Type 20 includes HEDD's CoP technology, trying to reconcile the debate between closed or ported speakers. Using a combination of plugs and filters, it is now possible to choose which of the two modes you prefer.

The Type 20 MkII also improves the relationship with HEDD subwoofers using Group Delay Compensation to compensate for the distance between speakers and subwoofers and create Linear Subwoofer / Satellite system.
