The Kerr Acoustic K300 Mk2 is a passive 2-way near-field studio monitor designed to provide uncompromising performance.
The Kerr Acoustic K300 mk2 uses a single 6.5" mid-bass driver made of sliced wood fibre and caters for LF duties as well as providing critical midrange reproduction, while a planar 2" True Ribbon tweeter carries up to 45kHz for incredible transient detail. With the Mk2 iteration, this speaker provides improved midrange focus and stereo imaging.
The K300 mk2 also boasts a quarter-wave transmission line waveguides designed to provide perfectly controlled and extended bass. Furthermore, Kerr Acoustic uses hand wound inductors for their passive crossover ensuring tightly controlled parts with correct gauge, inductance and physical properties for optimum performance.
Cabinets are made of Baltic Birch plywood responsibly sourced from Russia, which provides outstanding strength and rigidity as well as superior inert properties which in turns provides incredible sonic performance.
