SA2RATE is another original product by Polish manufacturer LOOPTROTTER. Looptrotter have managed to achieve the distinct sound of vaccum tubes with the usage of semiconductor technology.

Both channels are equipped with two knobs: DRIVE (saturation depth) and OUTPUT (output level). Saturation depth (the amount of added harmonics) is indicated by two LEDs at 4 and 8% THD.

SA2RATE also works as an analogue soft limiter as well. It aligns the signal and adds low-order harmonics in a smart way. The unit sets a solid and fat sound in the recording, proccessing and mixing.

A Boost switch amplifies the signal by an impressive 17dB. As a result, the Sa2rate can be used with devices working at -10dB such as synthesizers, samplers, drum machines. It can also be used in an effects loop on a guitar amp.

When used with +4dBu output, the Boost function sends the signal to extreme saturation adding further soundmangling possibilities.
