The Louder Than Liftoff FET Filter Saturating EQ Colour Module is an optional FET saturation and two-band EQ card for the Big Bear Audio MP1 and MP1+ 500 Series mic preamps.


The Louder Than Liftoff FET Filter Saturating EQ Colour Module offers several operational modes that are configurable via jumpers. These let you configure both EQ stages as well as the FET saturation letting you adjust the curves and textures to your needs. The different modes include:


  • FET saturator (no EQ)
  • High pass filter (no saturation)
  • Mid boost EQ for warmth or presence
  • Mid cut EQ for clarity or resonance removal
  • Filtered distortion device

  • The FET input stage can also be set to Clean, Dirty or completely bypassed via jumpers.


    The option card comes pre-built and easily inserts into the 500 series module.

  • Class-A biased audiophile grade op pamps
