The Mesanovic Model 2A is an active version of the highly successful Model 2 ribbon microphone, with the same design features and unique character.

The Mesanovic Model 2A includes Mesanovic’s signature motor structure and resonator plates to provide the detail of its passive sibling.  Using an active design the Model 2A requires 48V phantom power and provides high output level ensuring perfect operation with any mic preamp with extremely low self -noise. The phantom powered electronics employed has been designed to work as an impedance buffer to avoid any colouration. The Model 2A will provide stunning results on acoustic guitar, vocals, drum overheads or choirs and orchestras.

The Model 2A comes in a plastic molded case and includes isolation mount, protective pouch and lifetime parts warranty and free re-ribboning for two years.
