Modal Electronics 001

The Modal Electronics 001 is a Duophonic Hybrid Synthesizer, that's lovingly crafted in the UK.

The smaller brother of the Modal 002,  001 features a two voice Duophonic voice architecture built around two digital oscillators. Fed into a traditional subtractive all-analogue signal path for warm and character.

Just like 002 the Modal designed 24dB ladder filter is onboard, unlike any other filter you're able to freely modify the slope and filter response in real time, whilst 001 provides detailed visual feedback.

001 features over 55 waveforms ranging from traditional analogue shapes to more complex digital tones. 001 is capable of creating thick basses to glassy ethereal soundscapes and anywhere between.

Unique touches are what make the Modal range special, though the 001 may be a smaller version of the 002, Modal have made sure that every single feature from the Modal 002 is available on 001.

Features like; 

DeRez which acts as a down sampling algorithm and adds artificial harmonic content.

SubWav which makes the sub oscillators replicate the waveform being produced by the main oscillator.

Animator which is an incredible sequenced modulation source, with many destinations and playback modes.

Cloud connectivity for storing and sharing sounds, preset and performances. 

Internet connectivity also allows for remote control of all aspects of the synth.

001 is a ideal for sound designers, studio musicians and live performers thanks to its easy to read OLED screen and contextually sensitive menu system.
