Announced at Musikmesse, the Apollo 16 brings the original concept to studios with a mixer but wish to use UAD Plug-ins with near zero-latency. As such the UAD Apollo features 16x16 analogue i/o via D-sub connections for easy to connection to a mixing desk or external preamps allowing you to record and mix through the highly-regarded UAD plug-ins.
In addition, the Apollo 16 features a brand new pro tools mode which lets you connect external outboard easily into your Pro Tools Session, and a Virtual I/O mode which lets you route your virtual instruments and tracks within your DAW through the Apollo 16 for real-time processing just as you would external instruments.
Extremely flexible, Universal Audio‚Äôs latest interface is impressive in flexibility and can be used attached to a computer or in standalone. Two Apollo 16 can be cascaded via MADI allowing up to 32 analogue I/O to be used simultaneously.
