The Noise Engineering Ataraxic Translatron is a powerful sound source akin to vintage chip based games consoles.


Ataraxic Translatron is a linear shift register oscillator, the type used by early generation video game consoles. Capable of chiptune style sounds, generated by a 16-bit feedback register, that's heavily modulated to create a wide array of tones.


The front panel includes pitch control and tone control, CV capable inputs allow for complex morphing of the onboard tones and provide a two octave operation range.


An excellent secondary sound source that melds well with an a nice VCF, Ataraxic Translatron give all the chirpy func of your games console in you modular system.
