The Peluso P-47 SS is a solid-state large-diaphragm condenser microphone inspired by the Legendary U47.
The Peluso P-47 SS uses a FET as the solid-state gain stage to replace the vacuum tube. It results in a much lower noise floor and cleaner sound. It also boasts a wide dynamic range capable of capturing all the most subtle details in a recording and maintain an open and pristine sound on loud kick drums.
The single back-plate, dual-diaphragm capsule allows for a choice of three different polar patterns (omni, cardioid and figure-of-eight) and provides a unique bell-shaped proximity effect which can be used to great effect on bass guitar or on drums. A fixed 75Hz high-pass filter is provided to counteract excessive proximity effect or remove unwanted rumble.
Using a FET gain stage allows the P-47SS to capture very fast transients in all their details making it a microphone of choice for acoustic guitars and vocals. With a rich and detailed sound, the P-47SS will add a huge amount of character and will be a welcome addition to any mic arsenal.
The large condenser microphone ships in a locking flight case and includes a foam windscreen, shock mount and hard-mount. It comes with a full three-year warranty covering materials and workmanship.
