The Brauner VMX Cardioid is a single-diaphragm cardioid Class A valve microphone with extra low-end response, hand-built in Germany.

With Pure Cardioid design, the Brauner VMX Cardioid can deliver perfect cardioid response, as it only contains a single dedicated diaphragm - not only that, but the VMX Cardioid will do it quieter than the equivalent twin capsule type, too. And for budget-conscious studios, the Pure Cardioid design ensures that the Brauner VMX Cardioid will cost you less than the multi-pattern VMX version.
