The Equitech Son of Q is a world-class 220V, 20A power conditioner with 1500 Watt capacity providing balanced power isolation from line noise and other problems linked to dirty power.

The Equitech Son of Q is particularly well suited for audio applications, providing extremely low noise floor which in terms increases dynamic range and allows to run your signal hotter without any unwanted noise in your signal.

In project and home studios, the Son of Q maintains a high power factor when used with high current pulse demand loads ensuring improved amplification performance with less noise. This power conditioner is designed to handle small to medium setups with small to medium mixing desks, some outboard, keyboard setup and self-powered monitors.

The Son of Q is built to the highest standards, using isolation transformers with an enormous mass and operate at extremely low impedance and very low magnetic flux density. It also boasts powerful magnetic shields allowing the unit to be placed near sensitive equipment such as tape machines or single-coil pickups with no interference.

On the outside, the Son of Q’s elegance stands in its simplicity, with a beautiful anodised aluminium front panel housing input power and output standby switches. Above those switches are two LED indicator lights that monitor power status as the input and output stages. The input LED also doubles as a TVSS status light to indicate active surge protection when lit.

12 power outlets are provided on the back with a GFCI outlet independent from the standby switch ensuring continuous power for devices that require to maintain a memory. Of the remaining 10 outlets, 6 are used for analogue equipment and four are specifically filtered for digital devices such as AD/DA converters, Clocks, digital effects. A circuit breaker on the rear panel protects the system from overload and potential short circuits.
