The Telefunken TF47 is a multi-pattern, vacuum tube large diaphragm condenser microphone inspired by the “German sound” of the U47 and M49.
The Telefunken TF47 brings deep low end and forward midrange and is ideal to add depth and presence, thanks to its all-brass K47-style capsule, new old stock 5840W vacuum tube and highly accurate reproduction of the historic BV8 transformer. This transformer was found in the original U47 and had huge importance to the sound. The result is a warm yet punchy sound similar to the original U47 with a smooth top end detail that helps sit perfectly in a busy mix.
These attributes make the TF47 ideal for vocals but also on double bass, Toms, kick drum, trombone, cello and percussions.
The TF47 comes with an external power supply with selectable polar patterns, 7-pin XLR, shockmount, stand mount and microphone pouch.
