The RME Fireface UFX+ is a thunderbolt and USB 3 audio interface packed with features such as MADI I/O and improved DSP.
The RME Fireface UFX+ now has up to 188 channels of I/O over analogue, ADAT, MADI, AES, and S/PDIF. It sports 12 analogue inputs, 16 ADAT inputs, 64 MADI inputs and 2 AES in providing an impressive 94 channel input system in a 1U rack. What’s more, the UFX+ is fully thunderbolt compatible providing real PCI Express performance as well as being compatible under Windows.
The Fireface UFX+ also boasts all new AD/DA converters as well as optimised analogue I/O and improved THD+N for truly pristine performance and transparent sound. Mic preamps include a new Pad free circuit design capable of handling +18dBu input level with a range of 75dB of gain for the most critical recording situations. Low impedence Hi Power headphone outputs delivery up to +19dBu while providing ample power and volume to any headphones.
The UFX+ also improves its DURec technology, which allows for direct recording onto a USB stick, now providing up to 76 channels (all 12 analogue inputs + 64 MADI channels) of simultaneous recording. An internal Realtime Clock (RTC) provides time-stamped audio files. Playback also includes several new advanced player functions.
The UFX+ can be controlled with the optional Advanced Remote USB to provide tactile control of the TotalMix FX DSP.
