The RME Octamic XTC is a world-class 8-channel mic preamp and digital audio converter offering up to 192 kHz / 24-bit AD conversion of the highest quality with extremely low distortion, superior signal to noise ratio and perfectly linear frequency response ensuring the integrity of the signal throughout.
The Octamic XTC offers 4 balanced XLR mic/line inputs as well as 4 balanced XLR mic/instrument inputs all via Neutrik XLR/TRS combo connectors. These are digitally controlled from the front of the unit giving instant access to the most often used functions easily seen on its TFT-display.
With 8-channel Analogue to Digital and 4-channel digital to analogue conversion, working at up to 192 kHz, the RME Octamic XTC integrates easily with most setups with its double ADAT output using the S/MUX protocol, 4-channel of AES/EBU outputs via D-Sub 25 and MADI optical connectors.
The Octamic XTC uses RME’s SteadyClock technology to ensure perfect AD/DA conversion with extremely low jitter. Digital ins and outs can be used simultaneously at the AD/DA stage which combined with its flexible and sophisticated routing turns it into an impressive AD/DA converter, a digital format converter between ADAT, AES and MADI, as well as a signal inserter/extractor in serialised MADI setups.
Using the latest in AD conversion technology, the Octamic XTC delivers an outstanding performance with super low noise, super low THD and an impressively low Latency conversion.
