Slate Digital VCC Virtual Console Collection
brings the sound of famous analogue console to your DAW breathing live to mixes done “in the box”.
Slate Digital VCC Virtual Console Collection includes 2 different plug-in Virtual Channel and Virtual Mixbuss working together to recreate the signal path of 5 of the most famous analogue consoles. Insert the Slate Digital Virtual Channel all each individual channel to add the non-linear behaviour of an analogue console’s channel strips imparting your DAW the personality of the mixer of your choice.
Insert Virtual Mixbuss on your master buss and brings a brand new dimension never heard before on your DAW. On the top of the cumulative non-linear behaviour of the mixbuss, Virtual Mixbuss adds crossfeed adding superior imaging and depth to your mix.
The Virtual Console Collection is very simple but powerful to use thanks to a clever layout. Select your console emulation between the 5 different emulations; adjust the DRIVE knob to adjust how much of the mixer’s colour you wish to add. Slate Digital VCC’s clever design allows you to group several channels so that any changes made on one instance will affect all the other channels in that group, improving your workflow greatly.
Unlike with analogue summing, the possibilities on offer here are endless. Mix and match different channel strips with a different mix buss, or route different instrument groups through different channels and mixbuss instances. This way you can create many different shades and colours that will expand your sonic palette like you never imagined before.

Slate Digital VTM Virtual Tape Machines
recreates the sound of some legendary tapes and tape machines delivering the big, warm and rich sound of tape into your DAW.
Slate Digital Virtual Tape Machines emulates two different tape machines, a 2” 16-channel tape recorder and a much sought-after ¼” 2-track mastering tape machine. In addition, Slate Digital VTM offers a choice of 2 speed 15ips or 30ips each offering different yet pleasing highly desired properties. Choose 15ips for deeper low-end and thicker sound or 30ips for a brighter sound and lower noise. In addition to Tape speed, the Slate Digital Virtual Tape Machines offers a choice of two different tape calibration based on the most popular models, each producing a slightly different sound and a 3-way switch controlling the Bias of the tape recorder.
Additional settings of the Slate Digital Virtual Tape Machines allow you to work control all the effects associated with tapes such as Wow and Flutter, Hiss, Calibration levels and Bass Alignment, and Noise Reduction controls giving you further control of your tape sound.
Slate Digital VTM Virtual Tape Machine Overview:
• Most advanced, dynamic, true-to-life analog tape emulation ever achieved
• VTM is a dynamic, interactive, living, breathing replication of tape recording. No static modeling.
• Mac/Windows VST, RTAS, AU
• 16 track 2" machine and 1/2" mastering deck
• Two tape formulations, two tape speeds
• Calibration, bass alignment, wow & flutter, constant gain I/O, grouping, noise reduction

The Slate Digital Virtual Buss Compressors comprises of three analogue modelled compressors developed by Steven Slate.
The Slate Digital Virtual Buss Compressors is the culmination in years of research and high-quality modelled technology. To achieve outstanding sonics, Slate Digital has painstakingly modelled all the non-linear characteristics of each components to create three very different sounding plug-ins perfect for any stem and mixbuss.
The first emulation, the FG Grey is a modern processor designed to provide musical, transparent compression, based on the classic British 4000 console mixbuss compressor. A slight modification on the virtual model sees the characteristics of British discrete transformer added to retain more bass and midrange when compressing heavily. Although designed for masterbuss applications the FG Grey is also amazing on drums and guitars.
The second emulation is inspired by a classic Red faced compressor described as punchy, fat, tight and rich sounding. The FG Red recreated all those features and more adding a Drive control to add distort the virtual output transformer adding attitude and life to the mix.
Finally the FG MU is a recreation of classic Vari-Mu compressors lauded for their ability to thicken the midrange, tighten up the low frequencies and tame harsh upper mids, offering a deep, fat and warm sound full of rich and musical character. The FG MU has a M/S mode which allows to compress the mid and side differently, ideal for mastering in the box.
Each processor can be used on individually or as part of the VBC rack which lets you use all three compressors at once. Each processor in the rack can be rearranged easily by dragging and dropping and features a variable high-pass filter and mix control for parallel processing.

is a mastering multi-processor plug-in designed to increase the level of your final mix without sacrificing its dynamic feel and punch.
Slate Digital FG-X uses advanced algorithms designed to dynamically and intelligently saturate transients. This process called Intelligent Transient Preservation or ITP, is capable of detecting the nature of the transient (Kick drum, snare drum, etc..) and apply the right saturation curve focusing on the frequency spectrum of the transient played. As a result, the FG-X is capable of increasing the level substantially with no artefacts and remaining extremely transparent.
The Slate Digital FG-X comprises 2 different processors, the FG Comp compressor, and the FG Level. The FG Comp is a very transparent mastering compressor designed to control the dynamics of the mix in the most subtle way and without any colouration whatsoever. The FG Level is where all the ITP and provides all the controls necessary to achieve this. The Transient functions lets you fine tune the transient response. Use the Lo Punch knob to transparently increase the level of your low end energy in the mix while the Detail function gives further clarity and focus to the mix. In addition, the FG Level features a Dynamic Perception control which gives the ITP its over sonic character. From smooth to hard, this slider will help in shaping the sound further with great precision.
The Slate Digital FG-X Mastering Processor will help you achieve some of the best results in terms of loudness and transparency.
