The Slate Digital Virtual Preamp Collection brings the authentic sound of classic mic preamps into your DAW.
The Slate Digital Virtual Preamp Collection has been designed as a complement to Slate’s VMS One mic preamp but is now available separately. Each of the preamps included has been modelled accurately using state of the art modelling technology, recreating every aspect of the preamp circuit ranging from mild and subtle colouration to full on saturation and distortion.
The slate Digital Virtual Preamp comes with two of the most revered preamps in the history of recording. The FG-73 is modelled after the most iconic British mic preamp from the 70’s adding a big sound with silky smooth top end. The FG76 emulates a legendary valve mic preamp made in the US, popular for its thick, warm and colourful tone that imparts life to otherwise sterile recordings.
The Virtual Drive control simulates accurately the action of increasing the amp input gain and reducing the output level for constant monitoring level. The more drive is added the more distortion is produced until maximum distortion is reached with the drive pushed all the way to the right.
Slate Digital Virtual Preamp Collection Main Features:
- Two Analog Modeled Vintage Preamps with more to follow
- Adds real preamp vibe to tracks and mixes
- Virtual Drive for saturation and tone control
- Works in the Virtual Mix Rack
