The Sontronics Saturn is a multi-pattern condenser microphone designed to provide an incredible sound on a wide variety of sources.
The Sontronics Saturn has been designed by Trevor Coley with the help of the legendary producer Flood. It boasts five polar patterns (omni, cardioid, sub cardioid, hypercardioid and bi-directional) easily accessible from the switch on the front of the microphone. The gold-sputtered capsule is suspended in a grille that is itself mounted on springs within a circular frame. This design provides effective shock absorption in addition to that provided by the unique shockmount. Other controls include a three way toggle switch to provide up to -20dB padding as well as a three-position high-pass filter switch offering a choice between 75Hz and 125Hz.
