The Soyuz SU-019 is a FET large diapghragm condenser microphone based on the intriguing and popular SU-017 valve microphone.

The Soyuz SU-019 uses the same handmade K67 style capsule as its valve counterpart as well as the same attention to detail with point to point / wire wrap build and proprietary toroidal transformer. Capsules are interchangeable and can even accommodate the small diapgragm capsules of the SU-011.

The Soyuz SU-019 uses the same mathematically engineered solid brass body with a sphere split by a ratio of 1/1.618 which is also the same distance separating the capsule head from the body. The principle of the design allows for the reduction of unpleasant resonances.
