The Studio Electronics Boomstar 3003 is an analogue synthesizer module that features the instantly recognisable filter circuit filter circuit from the Roland TB 303.
The Boomstar 3003 at its heart is a high quality pure discrete analogue synth, built around two world class multi-wave VCO’s with incredibly wide ranges that feature exceptional tracking and variety of modulation options.
The single path and feature set of the Boomstar range is almost identical, what separates each model is the filter circuit that’s included with each synth, on the 3003 Studio Electronics have chosen to emulate the squelchy, fat transistor ladder filter circuit from the Roland TB 303.
When it comes to modulation, you are really spoiled for options when it comes to what’s on offer;
There’s cross mod with two destinations, a multi-wave LFO with separate pulse width modulation rates and pitch mod rates for each oscillator, filter FM with two sources, a dedicated filter FM input accessible using 3.5mm patch cords and an audio modulation input for the VCA.
The main features of the Studio Electronics Boomstar 3003 include:
Two oscillator monophonic analogue synthesizer
Filter circuit based around the Roland TB303
Multi-wave oscillators with noise, sub oscillator and feedback
Plenty of modulation options onboard
The Studio Electronics Boomstar 3003 is an analogue synthesizer module that features the instantly recognisable 24dB transistor ladder filter circuit filter circuit from the Roland TB 303.
