The Unity Audio Mini-Boulder DSP is 3-way active studio monitor with an 8” woofer coaxial 5” midrange driver and 50kHz folded ribbon as well as DSP hardware and software.

The Unity Audio Mini-Boulder DSP boasts the exact same design as the larger Boulder including its exclusive coaxial 5” midrange driver and 50kHz folded ribbon tweeter which ensures phase accurate performance over several octaves. It also includes an 8” woofer made with an extremely stiff aluminium cone and low-loss rubber surround allowing for superior bass precision free from cone edge resonance and distortion. The woofer consists of 4-layer high-temperature voice coil which are wound on an aluminium voice coil ensuring high power handling.

The Mini-boulder yields 500 W amplification with a 300 Watt Class-D amplifier for the woofer and two custom Unity Audio 100 Watts Class A/B amplifiers powering the coaxial midrange and tweeters. These allow for high SPL handling and effortless dynamics and transient response.

High-quality DSP hardware and software are also employed offering 24-bit/96kHz conversion, flexible 8-band EQ, 1/10th dB gain resolution and preset library and storage. The Mac/PC DSP software controls the settings via Cat5 connection to the speaker.

Like all other speakers in the range, the Mini-Boulder boasts a sealed cabinet made with 18mm Baltic Birch plywood, ensuring accurate low-frequency reproduction as well as superior time-domain performance. It also allows for the use of a gentler 12dB/octave roll-off.
