The Universal Audio Apollo Twin Duo MkII Heritage Edition is a special edition of the Universal Audio Apollo Twin MkII Duo Thunderbolt 3 audio interface that includes a suite of 5 award-winning UAD plug-ins.
The Universal Audio Apollo Twin MkII Duo is 2x6 Thunderbolt Audio Interface with real-time UAD-2 Duo Core Processing for Mac and Windows.
The Heritage Edition includes some of Universal Audio’s most popular plugin emulations including collections from Teletronix, Pultec and Universal Audio.
The Universal Audio Duo MkII Heritage Edition sees many improvements over the first generation with improved audio conversion translating in increased dynamic range and stunning clarity, depth and accuracy, as well as an improved monitoring section and workflow.
Two Unison-enabled mic preamps allow the user to record through meticulous emulations of some of the most sought after mic preamps from the likes of Helios, Neve, API, Manley and more.
Unison technology, not only recreates the tone of the emulated hardware but also the input impedance, gain stage and component-level circuit behaviour resulting in a new level of realism with virtually zero latency.
Not only does it sound like the real thing, it feels like it too. With Unison technology also available on the DI input, you can also get the same realism while tracking guitars through Universal Audio's stunning Fender, Marshall and Ampeg amp simulations.
With the built-in UAD-2 DSP technology, you can also record using all the UAD Powered plug-ins at near-zero latency. Record with Neve preamps onto a Studer tape machine even before hitting your DAW, or mix with Lexicon reverbs, Manley EQ and compressors and much more.
Thoughtfully placed next to the converters, the DSP processors let users record through UAD plug-ins at near-zero latency. It’s like recording through some of the best hardware.
Further to its two Unison mic pres and line outs, the Twin Duo Mk II interface features optical ADAT/SPDIF input to connect an external mic preamp and increase your number of inputs up to ten as well as a built-in talkback microphone.
It is also scalable allowing you to grow your studio into a powerful recording solution when combined with the combined with up to three additional Thunderbolt Apollo audio interfaces and five total UAD-2 devices delivering incredible recording and mixing fire-power. In such systems, the Apollo Twin X can be used as a monitor controller with additional DSP power.
Included with the audio interface is the Realtime Analog Classics Plus which gives you the following Plugins:
The Heritage Edition also comes with additional plugins worth a total of $1300 which include:
