The Universal Audio Apollo X6 Heritage Edition is a special edition of the Apollo X6 Thunderbolt 3 audio interface that includes a suite of 10 award-winning UAD plug-ins.
The Universal Audio Apollo X8p Heritage Edition delivers an astounding performance that rivals dedicated converters that are far more expensive. Thanks to its class-leading AD/DA conversion, Hexa Core DSP processing and Unison Preamp technology, the Apollo X8p represents the ideal front-end to a powerful recording system.
The Heritage Edition includes some of Universal Audio’s most popular plugin emulations including collections from Helios, Fairchild, Teletronix, Pultec and Universal Audio.
The Universal Audio Apollo X6 uses class-leading audio converters paired with an all-new analogue circuit for ultra-pristine audio. Offering an impressive 129dB of dynamic range and -118dB THD+N, the new Apollo x6 sounds open and incredibly natural and stands its grounds against dedicated audio converters in any class.
In addition to the two preamps, the x6 includes six analogue inputs and outputs giving you the opportunity to mix in surround sound, ideal for people working for film or video games and with a selectable +24dBu operation, it works perfectly with professional mixing consoles and pro audio equipment.
With two Unison preamps, the Apollo X6 lets you track through exact emulations of Neve, API, Manley, SSL and Universal Audio plug-ins in real-time.
Unison Technology mimics all the details of selected hardware mic preamps, valve or solid-state, including input impedance, gain stage and component-level circuit. Combined with UAD's Unison-ready plug-ins, it provides unparalleled realism.
Furthermore, the Apollo x6 features as standard six DSP chips, delivering 50% more UAD plug-in processing power than previous Apollo interfaces. Whether you record or mix, you can now accommodate bigger sessions with more UAD plug-in counts.
Thoughtfully set after the converters, the Hexa Core DSP system allows users to track with UAD plug-ins at near-zero latency. It’s like recording through some of the best hardware emulations by SSL, Manley, Avalon, Helios, API or Neve.
The Apollo X series of audio interface includes support for surround monitoring up to 7.1. making it a natural choice for users working with video games, television and web.
Selectable +24dBu operation lets users with professional mixing consoles and pro audio equipment use their interface with no sacrifice in sound quality.
As your studio grows, the x6 can be further augmented in a powerful recording powerhouse with 8-channel of ADAT to work with external mic preamps like the 4-710 or by connecting up to four Apollo via the Thunderbolt 3 ports which are also backwards compatible with Thunderbolt 1 and 2 (sold separately).
Apollo interfaces are compatible with any DAW offering low-latency recording via their Console interface.
Used in combination with the LUNA Recording Software, the Apollo X series become a powerful and complete integrated recording system with the benefits of a flexible workstation and seamless integration of hardware and software.
LUNA’s Accelerated Real-time Monitoring allows users to record and mix with near-zero latency without leaving its convenient one window workflow with unlimited track counts.
The free version of LUNA gives you everything you need to record and mix with your Apollo interface but additional extensions can be used to create even more powerful recording systems to provide in-the-box analogue tones with Tapes and Summing extensions as well as stunning virtual instruments.
Included with the audio interface is the Realtime Analog Classics Plus which gives you the following Plugins:
