Realtime UAD HEXA Core Processing

The Apollo x8p also features a new UAD Hexa Core processing which includes six DSP chips giving you 50% more UAD plug-in processing power than previous Apollo interfaces. Work on larger sessions with more recording and mixing channels with increased UAD plug-in count.

Unison Mic Preamps

With eight Unison preamps, you can record large projects through exacting plug-in emulations of Neve, API, Manley, SSL and Universal Audio channel strips. By using detailed emulation of the input impedance, gain stage and component circuits, Unison preamps provide an unmatched level of realism. It sounds and feels like the original hardware preamp.

Mix in Surround and +24u Operation

New comprehensive surround monitoring supports formats up to 7.1 and will allow engineers and producers to work in up to 7.1 surround monitoring, ideal for video games, broadcast and web applications. In addition, the Apollo X8p has a selectable +24dBu operation to ensure compatibility with professional mixing consoles and other high-end pro audio equipment.

Build a Scalable Recording System over Thunderbolt

With a total of 18x22 simultaneous inputs/outputs including 8 channels of ADAT, two channels SPDIF I/O, the Apollo X8p also boasts two Thunderbolt 3 ports allowing up to four Apollo interfaces to be cascaded together or six UAD-2 devices in total. The Thunderbolt 3 ports are backwards compatible with Thunderbolt 1 and Thunderbolt 2 Macs via an adapter (sold separately). Grow your I/O and DSP count as your needs grow.
